- Enjoyed two book club meetings

- We organized our reasons and evidence for one side of our Ted Talk argument using a graphic organizer
- Wrote flash drafts of our speeches
- Watched several Ted Talks to study how people draw their audience in
- Learned how to write a powerful lead for our Ted Talks
- Revised leads with citizen partners
*Science:
- Completed our Earths Systems unit
- Students worked in teams of two to design and build a water filter
- After testing one model, students reworked their designs to see if they could filter even more out during their next attempt
- Began our next science unit, focusing on Space Systems
