Week 4!

Another week has come and gone.  Check out some of our highlights below:

*Math:

• multiplying and dividing whole numbers and decimals by powers of 10
• comparing decimals
• ordering decimals
• three ways to write a whole number

*Literacy:

• writing level 4 sticky notes
• using evidence based terms to support our thinking about reading
• brainstormed turning points in our lives to write personal narratives
• browsed books and chose top three choices for book clubs

*Social Studies:

• watched a video that depicted what the Americas were like before explortation
• discussed different ways to take notes
• added to our Americas anchor chart

*Kindness Art Project:

On Friday, students from 5L and 5D wrote down what they thought the definition of kindness is.  They then transferred their definitions onto paper and created a work of art.  We were amazed at the thoughtful responses.  I will share pictures soon!
