Week 16!

Another busy week has come and gone and I simply can't believe there is only one left until the holidays! Here's some of the happenings in 5L:

*Math: We finished our unit on multiplying and dividing whole numbers and decimals and took our test on Thursday.  On Friday, students got to play various math games with 5D.

*Literacy: We've been working hard at researching information for our research reports.  This week, students worked on creating subtopics for their topic, writing strong leads as well as writing body paragraphs with a specific text structure in mind.

*Science: Our mars projects are well underway and students have been busy researching, planning and designing.  They will begin building their models on Monday.  Your child may come home this weekend with a few items they will need to help build there school.  We can supply most items, but some groups creativity involves certain materials that we just don't have at school.  Please check with your child about their supply lists!

Reminder, we will be showcasing our finished products on Wednesday, December 21st from 1:30-2:30.  You are welcome to join us!

Enjoy your weekend!
