Week 15!

Another week has come and gone.  Here's what the students in 5L were up to:

*Math: Students worked on interpreting the remainder, decimal division and dividing a whole number by a whole number with decimal quotients.  Ask your child about their gingerbread house!

*Literacy:  Students wrote flash drafts for their research topics as well as worked on brainstorming subtopics for their writing.  We also looked at published author's of non fiction and practiced writing introductions in similar ways as the pros.

*Pear Harbor:  On Wednesday, we took a virtual field trip to Pearl Harbor and learned about the history with 5D. Ask your child about it!

*Winter Watercolor Scenes:  We have been working hard at painting a four picture scene that depicts a winter story. I'll post the finished products next week!

*Mars Challenge: On Wednesday, December 21st from 1:30-2:30 the entire fifth grade will showcase their school on Mars designs.  You are more than welcome to come in and check out their creations!

Enjoy your weekend!
