The students have been working so hard each and every day on their Ted Talk. They cannot wait to showcase it to you next Tuesday and Wednesday. Here's the latest schedule with days and the correct order. Here's what we've also been also been working on in 5L!
*Math
- Just finished division of fractions
- Moving onto Geometry and Volume
- Math testing 5/14 and 5/15
*Literacy
- Ted Talks, Ted Talks and more Ted Talks
- Kids have practiced in small groups using the Smartboard
- Other groups have videoed each other
- All students shared GLOWS and GROWS
*Social Studies
- Revolutionary War is underway
- Our read aloud is hysterical, please ask your child
- The 5D-5L Revolutionary timeline is filling up
- Students are understanding different perspectives based on identity
Week of Empowerment coming April 16-20
Students will work on a self guided, self taught topic they are passionate about. Ask your child about their interests this weekend. As a team of teachers, we introduced this learning experience to all the 5th graders!
